Ather Energy has announced the launch of its cheapest electric scooter 450S in India on August 3 to rival the Ola S1 Air. Ather 450S – Design and Platform
The new Aether 450S will be based on the platform used in the company’s flagship model 450X. Even in terms of features and design, the two models will be similar. Like the 450X, it also features a sharp, sleek yet sporty design. However, the 450S offers slightly different graphics.
Ather 450S – Battery Pack
The new Ather 450S’s 3 kWh battery pack is claimed to provide a range of 115 km on a full charge. Its maximum speed is 90 km per hour. Whereas the Ather 450X has a short range of 146 km on a full charge and a top speed of 90 km per hour.
Ather 450S – Features and Parts
Ether’s cheapest battery powered scooter 450S features a telescopic front fork, a rear monoshock, disc brakes on both wheels, digital dashboard etc. It has smartphone connectivity but lacks a TFT dash. which is seen in the 450X. Navigation may also be offered in the 450S, but not as advanced as the 450X.
Ather 450S – Price and Competitors
The Ather 450S is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Although later the starting price of this scooty will be increased. It will compete with TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air and other electric scooters in the market after the August 3 launch.
