Asus Zenfone 8 / Zenfone 8 Flip has been launched with AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 Chipset and 30W fast charging globally. It is the successor of the Zenfone 7 series which was launched back in September last year. The Zenfone 8 & Zenfone 8 Flip runs on Android 11 with ZenUI 8 on top. The Zenfone 8 comes in Obsidian Black & Horizon Silver color finishes while the Zenfone 8 flip features in Galactic Black & Glacier Silver color variants.

Asus Zenfone 8 features a 5.9 inches 20:9 Super AMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 82.9% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+ support, 1100nits of peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a punch-hole selfie camera on the top left corner. Under the hood, It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, Adreno 660 GPU, and paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, The smartphone has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera with an aperture of f/1.8 + 12-Megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 12-Megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.5 aperture. The Zenfone 8 packs a 4000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. Other feature includes stereo speakers, an optical under-display fingerprint reader, 148 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm dimensions and weighs 169g.

Asus Zenfone 8 flip comes with a 6.67 inches Samsung AMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 1000 nits of peak brightness, 84.2% screen-to-body ratio, 395 PPI screen density, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Under the hood, The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and coupled with up to 8GB RAM + 256GB expandable storage. In terms of camera, It is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera with f/1.8 aperture + 8-Megapixel (telephoto) sensor with f/2.4 aperture + 12-Megapixel (ultrawide) sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Interestingly, The smartphone has a flip camera module through which the user can use the rear as the selfie camera as well.
The Zenfone 8 flip is backed by a 5000 mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging technology. For connectivity, The handset includes the support of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, NavIC, BDS, and USB Type-C 2.0 for charging. The sensor onboard includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light sensor, and an optical under-display fingerprint reader. Additional feature includes super slow motion, 8K recording, stereo speaker, Always-on display and more. Lastly, It measures 165 x 77.3 x 9.6 mm in thickness and weighs 230g.

The base variant of the Asus ZenFone 8 is priced at EUR 599 (around Rs. 53,200) for the 6GB + 128GB storage variant, The mid variant 8GB + 128GB storage costs EUR 669 (around Rs. 59,400), and lastly, the high end variant carries a price tag of EUR 799 (around Rs. 71,000) for 16GB + 256GB storage.
Coming to the Zenfone 8 Flip, The handset comes in two RAM & storage configurations – The 8GB + 256GB storage variant of the Asus ZenFone 8 Flip costs EUR 799 (around Rs. 71,000). There is no confirmation about the pricing of the 8GB + 128GB variant. Currently, both the handsets are available for pre-order in Taiwan and Europe.
