Airtel has changed its International Roaming (IR) packs for both its prepaid and postpaid customers. From now on, customers will get tele-connection benefits in more than 180 countries with just one roaming plan. Whereas earlier the telco had two different plans on country basis. But now by opting for Airtel's new pack, customers can enjoy international benefits anywhere in the world without any worries.
Difference between old and new plans
Airtel's old Rs 649 plan
This is Airtel's old international roaming pack. Where customers get 1 day validity, 500 MB data, 10 SMS, free 100 minutes of local outgoing and incoming calls and calls to several countries including India.
Airtel's new Rs 648 international roaming plan
Airtel's new international roaming pack is priced at Rs 648, and the validity of this plan has been kept for 1 day. But now roaming facilities will be available in a total of 184 countries. And this plan offers 500 MB data, 10 SMS, free 100 minutes of local outgoing, incoming calls and calls to India.
Incidentally, previously Airtel had two roaming packs, where the Set 1 plan provided international roaming facilities in 119 countries and the Set 2 plan in 65 countries i.e. a total of 180 countries. However, currently customers will get international roaming facility in 4 additional countries with the new plan.
