Yamaha MT 09: Bike will run without clutch! Yamaha's new technology is now in India

It was recently reported that Yamaha is currently planning to launch one of the world's best adventure motorcycles, the Tenere 700 in India. This time, Yamaha is thinking of bringing their MT-09 model to the country as well, according to an auto portal report. The 2024 version of this street naked bike has received multiple updates. Aggressive styling makes it more attractive.

Features are one of the USP of Yamaha MT-09. It has a new color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The switchgear is also new and more useful. The bike has three riding modes besides six axis IMU supported traction control, slide control system, ABS. Riders can also customize two ride modes.

Let us know, this year the Y-AMT version of MT-09 has been launched. Which all means Yamaha automatic manual transmission. This semi-automatic gear system consists of two electronic actuators, which replace the clutch lever and foot shifter. That means there will be no need to manually shift gears to accelerate or stop. However, there is also a manual mode to change the gear through the switch.

The Yamaha MT 09's 890 cc, three-cylinder engine produces 117.3 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It remains to be seen whether the manual or Y-AMT variant will be launched in India. The bike is expected to be priced between Rs 11-12 lakh (ex-showroom).
