A slew of new models, 5 much awaited cars-bikes are set to launch in the first half of July

Like any other month, July 2023 is shaping up to be quite an exciting one for Indian car lovers. Because in the first half of next month, several models are being launched to shake the Indian vehicle market. This includes three utility vehicles and two new motorcycles. Let’s take a look at five two-wheelers and three four-wheelers to hit the market in the first two weeks of July.

New Kia Seltos (launched on July 4)

The new Kia Seltos is being launched in the country inspired by the design of the model sold in the global market. Updates include a new front grille with new LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, new bumpers, new alloy wheels, LED bars attached to the tail lights and a faux skid plate on the rear bumper.

The cabin features a full digital instrument console, updated infotainment unit, a factory-fitted panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake etc. The new Seltos offers a choice of two engines with ADAS technology. 1.5 liter NA petrol (115 bhp) and 1.5 liter turbo diesel. The 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine produces 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto (July 5 launch)

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch a multipurpose vehicle with three rows of seats next month. Named – Invicto. Currently, interested buyers can book the car at all the company’s dealers and online for Rs 25,000. It will be launched as a rebadged version of Toyota Innova Hycross. However, there is a slight difference in design. This is the first Maruti Suzuki model to offer ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance System. The car will be available with 2.0 liter hybrid and 2.0 liter regular petrol engines. The outputs of which are 184 bhp and 172 bhp respectively.

Hyundai Exter (launched on July 10)

Hyundai is launching a new micro SUV called Exter in July. It is currently being booked for Rs 11,000. Based on Hyundai’s K1 platform, the upcoming car will take on the Tata Punch Citroen C3. There are five trims to choose from – HI X, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. Powering it is a 1.2 liter petrol engine that produces 83 bhp of power and 113.8 Nm of torque. The CNG version of the car outputs 69 bhp of power and 95.2 Nm. The car can be optioned with 5-speed manual and AMT units.

Hero-Harley X440 (3rd July launch)

Hero-Harley X440 is going to be the first motorcycle jointly developed by Hero and Harley. It is a single cylinder retro style motorcycle. Which will compete with Royal Enfield bikes. The bike will come with a 440 cc, single cylinder, air/oil cooled engine. Its output is yet to be reported. The bike has USD front fork and twin shock rear absorber, dual channel ABS with two wheel disc brakes.

Bajaj-Triumph Bikes (July 5 Launch)

Triumph and Bajaj joint venture to bring mid-size motorcycle to India. This move is to put pressure on Royal Enfield. A pair of motorcycles may be brought together. One is a scrambler and the other is a neo-retro street bike. It features a USD front fork, a rear monoshock, disc brakes, round headlamps and alloy wheels. Powering both the new motorcycles is a 400 cc or KTM’s 373 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. From which 35-40 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque can be generated.
