Kia Seltos hits 5 lakh sales milestone in India

The Kia Celts was first launched in India in mid-2019. Within 46 months of launch, this record has been set in sales. Although the car is based on the Hyundai Crater platform, it has been able to beat it in terms of sales. According to many, it is the best designed SUV in India. Again, in terms of features, it has left a mark on the minds of buyers.

Tae-Jin Park, MD & CEO, Kia India said, “The sales success of the Celts lies in its uniqueness. It has captured the hearts of countless buyers. And has earned the respect of more than 5 lakh buyers.” The company claims that about 55 percent of the vehicles sold in the country are Celts. Kia has reported exporting over 1.35 lakh Celts to over 100 markets including Central and South America under the ‘Make in India’ campaign.

The vehicle is also supplied to Mexico, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific countries. Recently, Kia has introduced the facelifted version of its Seltos car in the global market. The new model may be launched in the Indian market this year. In fact, their goal is to increase sales in this country in three ways. The car is currently priced at Rs 10.89 lakh in India (ex-showroom).
