Ola Electric has opened the purchase window for the sale of its cheapest electric scooter S1 Air on July 27. This time, the organization said the amount of its demand. Which is really surprising. Ola claims that the S1 Air has received 50,000 bookings in just a few days. Currently, the scooter is available for purchase at a starting price of Tk 1.10 lakh. which holds FEM-II subsidy from the Centre.

The S1 Air crossed 3,000 bookings in just three hours after the opening of the purchase window on July 27, Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal said on social media. Overwhelmed by the overwhelming response to the scooter from customers. That is why Ola has announced to extend the sale period till August 15 at Tk 1.10 lakh. Then Ola will sell it for Tk 1.20 lakh.
Meanwhile, after discontinuing the sale of the S1, Ola currently has two electric scooters in its portfolio – the S1 Air and the S1 Pro. The first is their cheapest scooter and the second is the flagship model. A 3 kWh battery pack is present in the S1 Air. It will provide a range of 125 km on a full charge.
The S1 Air’s 8.5 kW electric motor will generate maximum Nm of torque. It will be able to accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed of the scooter is 90 km per hour. The company claims that the battery will take 5 hours to fully charge.
The Ola S1 Air will come with telescopic front forks, rear twin shock absorbers, drum brakes on both wheels, twin projector headlamps, 7-inch TFT dash with GPS and smartphone connectivity. With six color schemes, the scooter will have three riding modes available – Eco, Normal and Sport.
