In India, the interest of buyers towards electric cars is quite visible. At the same time, the demand for luxury battery cars is increasing by leaps and bounds. South Korean company Hyundai (Hyundai) proved that. The company released the figures and said that they have already delivered 500 units of the flagship model Ioniq 5 in India. The car was launched at the 2023 Auto Expo held in January. Being a luxury car, Hyundai considers selling 500 units within these five months as a big success. The locally assembled electric car was priced at Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 500 buyers. This time, the price of Hyundai Ioniq 5 is expected to change.
500 units of Hyundai Ioniq 5 sold
From the launch stage of Ioniq 5, Hyundai said that by 2023 they will sell 500 units of the car in the country. They have already reached their target. Now the question is, there are still about five and a half months left for the end of the year. It remains to be seen whether the Korean company will announce more models of this car for sale this time around!
Incidentally, the day after yesterday Hyundai launched their cheapest and smallest SUV Exter in India. Speaking about the Ioniq 5 at that time, the company’s Managing Director and CEO Unsu Kim said, “We started 2023 with the launch of the iconic SUV Ioniq 5 in India. The car has received a lot of love from Indians and has sold 500 units in the last five months.”
Hyundai Ioniq 5: Specifications, Range and Battery
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is based on the company’s E-GMP platform. Which is also seen in the case of Kia EV6. Adding to the artwork are parametric pixel lights, square headlamps and a mousetec grille. Again, the cabin has dual screens and the best quality materials.
The Indian version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 features a 72.6 kWh battery pack. The company claims that it can provide a range of up to 631 kilometers on a full charge. Adds or Advanced Driver Assistance System is present in the list of features of the car. Other features include premium Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, active air flaps, vehicle-to-load technology, Hyundai Blue Link connectivity, etc.
