India’s two-wheeler sales have seen a surge in the first month of the new year itself. In other words, the percentage has exceeded that of January of the previous year. As always, Hero MotoCorp and Honda have been seen as the leading companies in terms of sales of motorcycles and scooters in the country. However, in terms of sales, TVS, Bajaj and Suzuki are not far behind. Let’s take a look at the top five companies selling the most two wheelers in India last month.
Suzuki
Suzuki occupies the fifth position in the list in terms of two wheeler sales. A total of 80,511 buyers took home bikes and scooters from this Japanese company in the previous month. Whereas a year ago at the same time, 66,209 units were sold. As a result, this year’s sales progressed by 21.6%.
Bajaj
A step above Suzuki is Bajaj Auto. In the previous month, the company managed to hand over the keys of two wheelers to a total of 1,93,350 buyers in the country’s market. In comparison, Bajaj’s sales in the first month of 2023 were 1,42,368 units. As a result, there has been an increase in sales this year by 35.8%.
TVS
In terms of sales, the company occupying the third position in the list is TVS. In January, they saw a total of 2,68,233 customer faces. Whereas 2,16,471 two-wheelers were sold a year ago. As a result, sales rose by 23.9%.
Honda
Honda has kept its place as always in the second place. Last month they managed to hand over the keys of two wheelers to a total of 3,82,512 buyers. Whereas 2,78,143 units were sold a year ago. They had a 37.5% increase in sales in January.
Hero MotoCorp
Hero Motocorp is the leading two wheeler seller in the country. The Splendor maker sold 4,20,934 two-wheelers last month. Whereas the sales volume has increased by 20.4% compared to January 2023.
