WhatsApp brings new safety feature, no stranger can chat, phone number will be protected

Now no stranger can message you on WhatsApp or see your mobile number. Keeping in mind the security of users, WhatsApp has started working on such a new feature. This feature is currently being tested on iOS 24.18.10.70 beta version of WhatsApp. Feature tracking website WABetaInfo reported that the new security feature is called Username with PIN.

According to the report, this feature is currently under testing, so beta testers won't be able to use it right away. This feature will show WhatsApp users nickname instead of mobile number while chatting with someone.

Username support is coming for WhatsApp iPhone users

In the future iPhone users will get the facility to chat with other people through username. PIN will be added to this feature to increase security. It is thought that WhatsApp iOS users will be able to choose whether to chat via username or phone number.

And after the username with pin feature, only those who have your pin will be able to talk to you. This will act more like a gatekeeper, as those who don't have a PIN can't send messages. And here users can change username or PIN.
