Vivo Y01 was announced as the new budget smartphone from the Chinese Tech Giant. The phone is listed on the official African website with detailed specs. The device comes with a MediaTek entry-level chipset, big battery, waterdrop notch display, single rear camera, and more. The phone has a similar appearance in terms of design to the Vivo Y15s which was revealed last month.

Vivo Y01 features a 6.51 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor that comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28mm and weighs 178 grams. In terms of camera, the phone sports a solo 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor under the waterdrop notch with f/2.2 aperture. Sensors onboard, the smartphone sports an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and virtual Gyroscope.
The device is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 10W charging. The phone comes running on Android 11 GO edition with Funtouch OS 11.1 skin on top. For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The company offered the Vivo Y01 in two color options namely
Elegant Black, and Sapphire Blue. Although, the pricing and availability of the phone is note revealed yet.
