Yamaha bikes and scooters are popular for performance and styling. The Japanese company has a wide range of two-wheelers ranging from truck-oriented models to everyday commuters. Yamaha currently sells a dozen models in India. Out of which two are full sports bikes. Also, according to reports from various auto portals, three new two-wheelers from Yamaha are likely to arrive in India in the next few years. Let's see how they are.
Yamaha XSR155
The Yamaha XSR155 is expected to be launched in India next year. The price is likely to be between Rs 1,36,000 and Rs 1,40,000. Currently sold in the international market, this neo-retro bike has a 155.5 cc engine, which outputs 19 bhp and 14.7 Nm.
Yamaha NMAX
Yamaha NMAX is a maxi scooter with automatic transmission. Yamaha has been selling this model in the Indonesian market since 2015. It is available in both ABS and Non-ABS versions. Notable features include smartphone connectivity, traction control and a smart key system.
Yamaha Tracer 900GT
At a time when the popularity of adventure tourer motorcycles is on the rise, Yamaha is about to bring out a new bike. Yamaha Tracer 900GT with 747 cc engine will produce 113 bhp and 87.5 Nm. The curb weight of the model is 214 kg with ground clearance of 135 mm. It has an 18 liter fuel tank. Important features include dual channel ABS, traction control, USD front fork, solid build quality, rugged design and comfortable riding. It is estimated that the price of this bike in the Indian market may be kept at 8-9 lakh rupees.
