The teaser was released yesterday. And today the 2024 edition of Extreme 160R 4V bike was launched in India. The new edition of this 160 cc premium commuter motorcycle has been priced at Tk 1,38,500 (ex-showroom). It is Rs 2,000 more expensive than the previous top-end variant. The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V gets cosmetic updates as well as new features.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Upgrade
While the bodywork of this Hero bike remains unchanged, an attractive color option called Kevlar Brown has been added. Like the previous model, it will also be available in Neon Shooting Star and Stealth Black color options. It has new LED taillights, which look similar to the Hero Maverick 440. It's about design. The bike's biggest upgrade is in the features list.
Keeping safety in mind, the Xtreme 160R 2024 edition gets dual-channel ABS, whereas the current model only gets single-channel ABS. Also, two new features have arrived on the bike. These are Drug Race Timer and Panic Break Alert. Both are segment first features. The first allows time tracking from a zero to 60km sprint. And second, the brake lamps and turn indicators flash rapidly when braking suddenly to signal the vehicle behind.
Keeping pillion rider comfort in mind, the new Hero Xtreme 160R bike now features a single piece seat. Earlier there was a split seat setup. Besides, other specifications of the bike remain unchanged. As before, it has a 163.2 cc air/oil cooled engine, which is capable of producing 16.6 bhp of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. For suspension, the bike will get USD forks at the front and preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.
