Recently, the demand for SUVs in India has skyrocketed. The market for skilled SUV makers like Mahindra is booming. The domestic company’s most popular models include Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar. The demand is so high that buyers have to wait for a long time to get delivery of these cars. But Mahindra has added to their worries, they currently have more than 2.50 lakh orders for cars. However, the company has assured that efforts are being made to provide fast delivery.
Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar: Pending orders
In a recent press conference, Mahindra & Mahindra CEO and Executive Director (Auto & Farm Sector) Rajesh Jejurikar said that the company currently has more than 2.5 million SUV orders pending. Out of which Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic contributed 1.17 lakh units, Thar 58,000 units and flagship XUV700 78,000 units.
Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar: Waiting period
A recent report claimed that after ordering the Scorpio Classic, customers have to wait at least 5 to 7 months for delivery. Whereas Scorpio-N has a waiting period of 18 months. While the keys to the Mahindra Thar 4×4 will be available in one to two months, the wait for its two-wheel drive variant will be around a year. The company’s flagship product XUV700 has a waiting period of 13 to 14 months.
Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar: Price
Mahindra Scorpio-N is priced between Tk 13.05 lakh and Tk 24.52 lakh. The price of Scorpio Classic has gone up from Tk 12.99 lakh to Tk 16.81 lakh. Whereas Thar is priced from Tk 10.54 lakh to Tk 16.78 lakh according to the variant. And XUV700 is priced from Tk 14.01 lakh to Tk 26.18 lakh. All prices above are ex-showroom prices.
