Traditional two-wheeler manufacturers of the country have joined the race to bring electric two-wheelers to capture the market. The cheapest version of Bajaj Chetak is rumored to be launched this month. Now another popular company TVS has announced to bring a new variant of their iQube e-scooter in the current financial year.
The new variant of TVS iQube will be launched this year
TVS Motor Company CEO and Director KN Radhakrishnan has confirmed the launch of multiple new variants of TVS iQube, currently the second best selling e-scooter in the country. The variants will come with different capacity batteries. So their prices will be different. Apart from this, TVS is also working on the development of petrol powered two-wheeler models.
Radhakrishnan said that his company is currently working on manufacturing an electric three-wheeler. TVS plans to launch this electric rickshaw later this year. Last year, the company launched a premium electric scooter named X in the Indian market. Jah deliveries will begin within the next few weeks.
Incidentally, the TVS X is based on the company's Xleton architecture. The company has fixed the price at Tk 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the most expensive electric scooter of the company. It has a 4.44 kWh battery and electric motor as the power source. From which a maximum range of 140 km is available.
