After the Raider 125, TVS Motor Company has announced a special variant of their popular naked racing bike Apache RTR 200 4V. Which was first launched in Colombia. The new edition is named Apache RTR 200 4V Special Racing Edition. It comes with some additional equipment and design innovations to differentiate it from the standard model. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Special Racing Edition: What changes have been made to the design
This special variant of Apache RTR 200 4V comes with some additional equipment. These include flyscreens, handguards, crashguards, radiator protectors, and front disc brake caliper covers. The front fenders, headlight mask, fuel tank cover and engine cowl are adorned with California Gray paint scheme with red highlights to bring innovation to the design. Again, the black paint scheme with red graphics at the rear is noticeable.
Also, similar to the standard model, the Special Racing Edition variant gets single pod headlights, body-colored headlight mask, muscular fuel tank, split seats, an engine cowl and side-slung exhaust. Apart from this, the new livery can be seen on the motorcycle.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Special Racing Edition: Features
The Special Racing Edition variant is based on the top-spec Apache RTR 200 4V. It features Bluetooth connectivity, Showa adjustable suspension, LED headlights and taillights and turn indicators with bulbs. Also offered is a full digital LCD console with instrument cluster.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Special Racing Edition: Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Special Racing Edition is not that different from the standard model. The bike will ride on telescopic front fork and rear monoshock suspension. Braking duties are handled by 270 mm single disc with two-piston caliper at the front and 240 mm single rotor with single piston caliper at the rear. 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted with 90/90 section front and 130/70 section tubeless tires at the rear.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Special Racing Edition: Engine
Launched in Colombia, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Special Edition Racing comes with a 197.75 cc, single cylinder, air/oil cooled engine with carburetor system with Euro-3 emission norms. It produces 20 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Comes with 5-speed gearbox.
