Triumph Speed ​​400: Royal Enfield days are over! Bajaj-Triumph has launched a powerful bike in India at a very cheap price

Triumph teamed up with Bajaj Auto to dominate the Indian premium motorcycle market by catching Royal Enfield. After their global debut, the duo’s first model set foot in the country today. Triumph has launched its cheapest bike Triumph Speed ​​400 in India. The Roadster motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.23 lakh ex-showroom. Which is applicable for the first 10,000 buyers. The British company has also announced that the price will be increased by Rs 10,000 to Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Note that Speed ​​400 is the cheapest model in Triumph’s lineup in this country. Bookings have already started. Let us inform here that the bike has been jointly developed by Triumph with Bajaj Auto.

Triumph Speed ​​400: Engine and Gearbox

The Speed ​​400 comes with a new TR-series engine. It features a 398.15 cc, fuel injected, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Also available is a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. It is expected to deliver a mileage of 28 km on 1 liter of fuel.

Triumph Speed ​​400: Features

Talking about the features, the Triumph Speed ​​400 comes with an analog speedometer. A digital screen is attached to it, where all the information related to riding will be displayed. The bike also comes with switchable traction control, all LED lighting, immobilizer and ride-by-wire throttle.

Based on the new perimeter frame with bolt-on sub-frame, the Triumph Speed ​​400 features 43mm upside-down big-piston forks at the front and preload-adjustable gas-charged monoshock at the rear. 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes are present to handle the braking duties. The bike will run on 17 inch alloy wheels. Dual purpose tires are used in it.

Incidentally, another motorcycle from Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler 400X will be launched in India in October. The price of the bike has not been announced today. Looking at the price at which Triumph has launched the Speed ​​400, it can be said that Royal Enfield and the Hero-Harley duo are in for a tough time ahead.
