Triumph Daytona 660: British's Favorite Sports Bike Comes to India, Beats the Market on Power, Features

Ending the wait, the Triumph Daytona 660 is all set to launch in India. The work of getting the bike to the showroom has started. The price can be kept around 9 lakh rupees.

Various domestic and foreign companies are increasing their hands in the potential market of medium weight motorcycles. The name of Triumph is in that list. The British company has started preparations to launch the new bike in India. Their new supersports bike Triumph Daytona 660 has started reaching dealerships in the country. Which indicates that the model will be launched in the country soon.

Triumph Daytona 660 will be launched in India soon

Note that the Triumph Daytona 660 was supposed to be launched in India by April-May this year, but it was later postponed. The launch of the bike in the middle of June has started speculation again. According to various sources, this supersports bike can enter the market by the end of June or the beginning of July.

FYI, the Triumph Daytona 660 is actually based on the Triumph Trident 660 platform. It uses the same frame and engine as the naked bike. The 660 cc engine produces 95 bhp of power at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm.

Triumph Daytona 660 comes with great features. That list includes all LED lighting, TFT or LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, three riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport). The tubular steel perimeter frame is accompanied by a 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front fork and Showa monoshock suspension with preload adjustment. For braking, there are 310 mm twin at the front and 220 mm disc brake at the rear.

The Triumph Daytona 660 will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. Will be accompanied by Michelin Power 6 tires. It is estimated that the price of this motorcycle in India will be Rs.9 lakh to Rs.9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). In this country, the bikes rival Kawasaki Ninja 650.
