It was earlier reported that iconic British motorcycle brand Triumph is looking to expand its popular 400cc lineup in India. Putting an end to speculations, they have announced that they will launch a new bike on September 17. The announcement was made by the company by releasing a teaser.
Although Triumph did not elaborate, the upcoming model is expected to be a cheaper version of the Speed 400. The teaser shows the fuel tank, engine, and some parts of the seat. The seat is assumed to be flat and has custom stitching on it. The bike has a new red and white paint scheme.
The black panel below the fuel tank has been replaced by a gray one. Silver badging is seen on the side cowls. Also, nothing is known about the new variant of Triumph Speed 400. Note that it has been on sale in India for more than a year. Experts say that the company has decided to launch a new model to attract the attention of buyers as the festive season is ahead. This might be Triumph's cheapest 400cc bike.
Let it be known that the Triumph Speed 400 is designed by the British brand, but manufactured at Bajaj's factory. It has a 398cc liquid-cooled engine, which produces 38 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. The bike features a traction control system and dual-channel ABS with a six-speed gearbox.
