Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X: How to book
The two motorcycles launched in the Triumph-Bajaj joint venture will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant in the country. Which will be sold exclusively from Triumph dealerships. That means the two bikes will not be sold from Bajaj showrooms. The British company has a handful of dealerships in India. The number of which is only 15. Therefore, Triumph has already announced plans to open 100 showrooms in 80 cities by March 2024.
Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X: Engine Specifications and Price
Both the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X get a new TR-series engine. Its 398.15 cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected, single cylinder engine will produce 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Also available is a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
Triumph has priced the Speed 400 at Rs 2.33 lakh ex-showroom. However, the keys of the bike will be handed over to the first ten thousand buyers for Rs 2.23 lakh. On the other hand, the company said that the price of Scrambler 400X will be announced in October. Deliveries of the Speed 400 are set to begin this month.
