Tata Motors is all set to bring its iconic Sierra model in electric form to the Indian market. The Tata Sierra EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 in a new avatar. This time the new version of Tata Sierra will be seen at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This new generation Tata Sierra car will be launched in ICE and EV variants.
The official launch of Tata Sierra EV is likely to happen in mid-2025. After that, the petrol model of the car will come in the market. After the launch, the Tata Sierra EV and ICE versions in the SUV segment are expected to be two of the most attractive models in the Indian passenger car market.
Tata Sierra EV Design and Features
The car is going to be a similar version of the concept model shown at the last Auto Expo. A prototype of the Sierra EV has already been spotted testing on the road. This car is going to be a modern SUV with multiple features. It will get automatic panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, level 2 ADAS, dual infotainment setup, 360 degree camera, etc.
Tata Sierra EV range
The upcoming Sierra EV will be based on the company's Acti.EV platform. It will be available in both all-wheel-drive (AWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) options. However, Tata Motors is yet to reveal the battery specifications. However, it is expected to be available with a powerful battery pack, which will give a range of around 500 km on a single charge.
