Many people who are used to riding bikes, do not want to buy electric scooters because of the small wheels. So at the end of June BGauss launched their RUV350 model. This big-wheeled two-wheeler was claimed to be a crossover between a bike and a scooter. As a result, many expressed interest in buying it. Pictures of the plastic-wrapped RUV350 have been released from the company's factory in Chennai. Let it be known that the full meaning of the word RUV in the name is 'Ride Utility Vehicle'. Biggs claims it can cross any road. The 16-inch wheels are the biggest USP of the scooter. It is available in three variants – RUV 350i, RUV 350 EX and RUV 350 Max. Prices are 1.10 lakh, 1.25 lakh and 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
The BGauss RUV350 is powered by a 4.6 bhp electric motor. The top speed of each variant is 75 kmph. Both the lower models feature a 2.3 kWh battery pack. Which will provide a range of 90 km on a full charge. And the most advanced Max variant has a 3 kWh battery. It can run up to 120 km on a full charge.
This metal body electric scooter also has storage under the floorboard, where a portable charger can be kept. Besides, special features include smart TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS notification, cruise control, hill hold, reverse mode and more.
