Tata Motors sounded the message of relief for buyers in this priceless market. In early May, the company quietly cut the prices of one of India's best-selling SUVs, the Nexon. Actually the new entry level variant of Tata Nexon has been launched. The Nexon is the cheapest in the lineup. The company has priced the petrol and diesel versions of the new model at Tk 7.99 lakh and Tk 9.99 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). As a result, the car can be bought cheaper than before.

The petrol and diesel variants of the new entry level Tata Nexon are named – Smart(O) and Smart+ respectively. Earlier, petrol variant Smart and diesel version started from Pure model. In a statement, Tata Motors said, “The price of the Nexon range now starts at Rs 7.99 lakh. Along with this, the Smart(O) variant has been added to the petrol lineup.”
According to Tata, the new diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder Revotron diesel engine. Price starts from Tk 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch of the new Tata Nexon Smart(O) has reduced the price of the petrol version by Rs 16,000. Again, the price of the diesel variant has become cheaper by Tk 1.10 lakh. The Nexon Pure diesel variant was priced at Tk 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The entry-level diesel version of the Tata Nexon gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the list of notable features, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also four speakers, reverse camera, shark fin antenna, a multi-purpose steering, power windows and electrically adjustable ORVM.
On the other hand, the Tata Nexon Smart+ higher variant has auto headlamps, electric sunroof with voice activation, rain sensing wipers etc. as additional features. Also, Tata has slashed the price of its Nexon Smart+ variant by Rs 31,000. Earlier the cost of buying this car was Rs 9.2 lakh, now it is available for Rs 8.89 lakh. Reverse camera will be available as an additional feature. Finally, the Tata Nexon Smart+ S is priced at Rs 41,000 cheaper and will now cost Rs 9.39 lakh.
