Lately, the mini pickup truck market is also seeing an increase in electric models. Tata Motors, one of the most famous automobile companies of the country, has launched such an electric mini truck capable of carrying a lot of goods. The model name is Tata Ace EV 1000. Interestingly, this mini truck has a cargo carrying capacity of 1 tonne.
Tata Ace EV 1000 mini electric truck launched
Tata Ace EV 1000 is claimed by the company to run 161 km on a full charge. It includes advanced battery management system, fleet edge telematics system and robust and optimal uptime. Ace EV 1000 features a cargo deck for transporting various items. It will be sold from Tata Commercial Vehicle dealerships.
Launching the Tata Ace EV 1000, the company's vice-president and business head (SCV&PU) Vinay Pathak said, “Ace EV has been providing us with various profitable and lasting benefits for the last two years. It represents last mile delivery as a zero pollution vehicle.” We are confident that the Ace EV 1000 will contribute to low cost of ownership and an eco-friendly future,” he added.
The Tata Ace EV 1000 features an EVOGEN powered powertrain. The company is offering a 7-year warranty on its battery and 5-year warranty on the maintenance package. They will be protected in any weather due to having advanced battery cooling system. Regenerative Braking System is available to increase the range. 130 Nm of torque will be generated from the 27 kW electric motor. Tata claims that it will offer the best pickup in the segment when loaded with goods.
