Since the start of 2024, various car manufacturers in the Indian market have changed the prices of each of their models. In this, the price of several cars sold in this country has decreased. But most of them are battery cars. Prices have been slashed starting from Tk 50,000 to Tk 3.9 lakh on various cars. Let’s find out how cheap any EV model has become since the start of the year.

MG Comet EV (price reduced by Rs. 99,000)
MG Motor has slashed the prices of all its vehicles sold in India. Out of which the electric Comet EV price has been reduced by Rs. 99,000. Now buying this micro electric hatchback model will cost Rs 6.99 lakh to 8.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is available in three variants – Pace, Play and Push. The price of the latter two models has been reduced by Rs 1.40 lakhs. Currently, the two models are priced at Tk 7.88 lakh and Tk 8.58 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).
MG ZS EV (price reduced by Rs. 3.9 lakh)
Along with the Comet EV, the price of the MG ZS EV has also been drastically revised. It is Rs 3.9 lakh cheaper than before. Currently, the car is priced from Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.09 lakh for its top-spec variant. It comes with a 50 kWh battery pack. The electric motor outputs 174 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. A full charge gives a range of 461 km.
Tata Tiago EV (price reduced by Rs. 70,000)
Tata Motors has slashed the prices of its super popular electric hatchback Tiago EV. As a result of the 70,000 taka cheaper, this car will currently cost 7.99 lakh taka (ex-showroom). The XT MR and XT LR variants are cheaper by Rs 35,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. There is no change in specifications or features for this.
Taga Nexon EV (price reduced by Tk 1.2 lakh)
Taga Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric vehicle in the Indian market. The price of its base specs Long Range version has come down by Rs 1.2 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the base mid-range model of the car is priced at Tk 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom). 25,000 has been reduced in value.
Mahindra XUV400 (price reduced by Rs. 50,000)
Last on the price drop list is the Mahindra XUV400. Mahindra launched the new version of this car earlier this year. The price of the new version is Rs 50,000 cheaper than the previous one. The car is currently priced at Rs 15.49 lakh and the top-end variant is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
