Sony Xperia PRO-I was revealed as the first smartphone with a 1-inch Camera sensor. The phone comes with Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, quad rear camera, 4k OLED display, large battery, fast charging, and more. The Xperia PRO-I is aimed at content creators or vloggers and there’s a special Vlog Monitor accessory that can be attached to the phone’s rear which allows the users to film with the new 1.0-inch type camera sensor.

Sony Xperia PRO-I features a 6.5 inches OLED display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate, 4k resolution, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, Gorilla Glass Victus, and 21:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with an Adreno 660 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 512GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot up to 1TB. The device is running on Android 11 out of the box.
In terms of camera, the smartphone boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 12MP 1-inch sensor which is borrowed from Sony’s RX100 VII camera and also supports Raw 12-bit shooting dual aperture that goes from f/2.0 to f/4.0 for changing the depth of field, a 12MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom with 3D iTOF sensor for calculating the distance. All three sensors come with a ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating, Optical Image Stabilization, a dedicated shutter button, and a shortcut key as well. For selfies, the phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone is packed with a 4500mah battery and supports 30W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 166 x 72 x 8.9mm and weighs 211g. Additionally, the Sony Xperia PRO-I comes with Dolby Atmos, IPX5 and IPX8 water resistance rating, IP6X dust resistance rating, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection at back.

As per the report, Sony Xperia PRO-I comes in a solo configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at $1,799.99, and Sony Vlog Monitor is priced at $199.99. The smartphone and vlog monitor will be available for purchase in December via offline stores and it comes in a single Frosted Black color option.
