Skoda SUV: This Made in India SUV to take on Tata-Maruti will be launched at a cheaper price

India’s car market is increasing over time in the global market. New four wheelers are constantly being launched in this promising business sector. Recently, there has been a trend towards buying sub-compact SUVs among Indian consumers. Skoda Auto, the popular car maker of Czech Republic, is going to launch its new sub-compact SUV in the country to exploit this opportunity. This new car will be manufactured in India. The official launch will be in March 2025.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia have already gained considerable reputation in the country. To maintain that trend, Skoda’s new SUV is also being built on the MQB A0 platform. The company claims that the upcoming model will offer features that are not seen in this segment. A five star safety rating is also being targeted. Skoda will focus on local procurement of vehicle components. As a result, India’s competitive market can be launched at attractive prices. Let’s take a closer look at Skoda’s new sub-compact SUV.

Skoda Sub-Compact SUV: Engine Specifications

Talking about the engine specifications, the upcoming new SUV model from the Czech Republic manufacturer will be powered by a 1.0 liter TSI engine. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 110 bhp. Two of Skoda’s popular cars, the Kushaq and the Slavia, use the larger version of this engine – the 1.5-litre TSI engine.

Skoda Sub-Compact SUV: Rivals

Right now, there are a lot of sub compact SUVs made by various manufacturers in this market to compete with the preferences of Indians. Some of the early models were Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. After the launch of Skoda’s new SUV in India, it will have to compete with all these models. Moreover, Skoda is likely to export its new car made in India to Southeast Asia and East and North Africa.
