Samsung Galaxy M42 5G launching on April 28 at 12pm in India and is an affordable 5G smartphone from South Korean Tech Giant. The smartphone will be a rebranded version of Galaxy A42 5G which was already announced by the company in October last year. Amazon has created a microsite for the Galaxy M42 5G teasing the launch and confirming the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will feature a 6.6 inches Super AMOLED Infinity U Display with an HD+ resolution. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In terms of Dimensions, the phone will measure 75.9 X 164.4 X 8.6mm and may weigh 190gm.
In terms of Camera, the smartphone will boast a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with F/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For Selfies, the phone will sport a 20-megapixel front shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.
The device will come equipped with a 5000mah battery and may support 15W fast charging. For connectivity. the smartphone will include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will include almost all the sensors including an under-display fingerprint sensor. The device will come running on Android 11 with One UI on the top.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G base model is expected to come under Rs. 25,000 and it may be possible that in the first sale base variant will cost under Re. 20,000 inclusive of all the offers. However, things become more clear on Samsung Galaxy M42 5G launch on April 28.
