The leaked images of the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 have seen the use of several components from the Interceptor 650. So presumably, it will come based on the Interceptor platform. It has a comfortable single seat. Handlebars and headlights match the Interceptor.
Both sides feature scuff plates, spoke rims and block pattern rubber to improve grip while riding. The blackout engine casing and components are seen in keeping with the current 650cc motorcycle. But its exhaust design is different.
Speculations are rife that the Scrambler 650 model in India may be launched as the Sherpa 650. Because Royal Enfield has already registered the name. Although most of the features of this 650 cc bike are unknown so far. It is speculated that it may also get a 648 cc engine to match the Interceptor 650. It will produce 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
When will Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 be launched in India?
The Scrambler 650 looks production ready. Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is preparing to bring Himalayan 450 and Classic 650. The Scrambler 650 is likely to be launched globally in the first quarter of 2024. It is believed that the bike may be launched in the Indian market in the middle of 2024. The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to be priced around Rs 3 lakh.
