What are the best electric scooter launches in 2024?
Ather Rizta
Ether launched it as a practical everyday scooter. Price 1.10 lakhs. This scooter was launched in April. There are two types of batteries – 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. Rizta's range on a full charge is 123 km and 160 km respectively.
Hero Vida V2
Hero MotoCorp launched the new Vida V2 electric scooter in early December. Prices start from Rs 96,000. This scooter is available in three variants – Lite, Plus, and Pro. Battery capacities are 2.2 kWh, 3.44 kWh, and 3.94 kWh respectively. This scooter can be charged at home. It takes about 6 hours to charge up to 80 percent. The maximum speed is 90 kmph.
TVS iQube ST 5.1
TVS launched this scooter with a 5.1 KW battery in May this year. It is priced at Rs 1.85 lakh. The range of the scooter is 150 km on a full charge. Top speed is 82 kmph. It has a 7-inch colorful touchscreen and over 118 connectivity features including digital document storage and tire pressure monitoring system.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series
Bajaj launched a new Chetak called the 35 series in early December. This scooter is available in two variants – 3502 and 3501, priced at Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.27 lakh respectively. It has a 3.5 kWh battery pack. Range is 153 km. The maximum speed of the scooter is 73 kmph.
Honda Activa e
Bajaj unveiled the new Activa e in November. It is the electric version of the petrol powered Activa. Bookings for scooters will start from January 1. Delivery can start from February. Honda says that a full charge will give a range of 102 km. There is a 1.5 kWh battery. Honda may reveal the rest of the scooter's features very soon.
