There are many people in this country who cannot think of any company other than Royal Enfield when it comes to premium motorcycles. A new bike named Guerrilla 450 that they will launch this year is known very recently. Besides, the company is going to bring another new bike. Named Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin. The company has already filed a trademark for the name. Classic 650 Twin will come as the fifth model of Royal Enfield 650 cc.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin trademark filed
Royal Enfield currently has four 650cc motorcycles in its portfolio – Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. Each of these is powered by a 648 cc parallel twin engine. This air/oil cooled motor produces a maximum power of 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox is available to provide decent support to the engine.

Despite having a powerful engine, the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 market is expected to come with a design similar to the current Classic 350. But there will be some trade-offs. A two-into-two exhaust system was observed on the test model. Which fits well with the overall design of the bike. Talking about the hardware, the Classic 650 Twin will get telescope front fork, twin-pod instrument console and silver finished engine.

Dual channel ABS will be available as a standard feature on the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin. Again it is expected to be launched with LED headlights. Speculations are rife that the bike will slot below the Interceptor 650 in the company's portfolio. The price may be around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). In that case it will be the company's cheapest 650cc bike. However, it is not possible to say anything about the launch period.
