Redmi Note 8 2021 edition has been spotted on FCC certification. It could be a slightly upgraded variant of the Redmi Note 8 which was launched back in August 2019. The Note 8 2021 edition is expected to be run on MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11 out of the box.

Xiaomi is all set to launch the successor of the Redmi Note 8 very soon. Recently, A well-known tipster named Mukul Sharma shared the FCC listing of the Redmi note 8 2021 edition which revealed some of its key specifications. As per the FCC listing shared by the tipster, The Note 8 2021 edition (model number M1908C3JGG) will be fueled by a 4000mah battery. For connectivity, The smartphone will include the support of GSM, WCDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.


Xiaomi revealed the Redmi Note 8 back in 2019. The smartphone features a 6.3 inches 19.5:9 IPS LCD FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution display with an 81.7% screen-to-body ratio, 409 PPI density, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, It is driven by Snapdragon 665 SoC and coupled with up to 6GB + 128GB expandable storage. In terms of optics, It has a quad rear camera setup that houses a 48-Megapixel (primary) camera + 8-Megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor + 2-Megapixel (macro) sensor + 2-Megapixel (depth) sensor. On the front, there is a 13-Megapixel selfie shooter. It is fueled by a 4000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

Another source has claimed that the device will come with an IPS LCD screen that delivers a high refresh rate 120Hz and a waterdrop notch design. Under the hood, The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85, may couple with 4GB of RAM, 64 GB / 128 GB of built-in storage, and 22.5W fast charging support.
