Check Wi-Fi and Mobile Data Connection
If you are unable to download the app on your Android phone, then you should start by checking the Wi-Fi or data connection. Sometimes there is a problem in downloading due to connection. You can solve problems by checking your data connection. If the connection is not good, then you will see some prompts like this:
- The download won’t start and you will see timed out or just 0%.
- The download on Google Play will only appear stuck at ‘Loading…’ or Waiting for download.
Check the connection in Android mobile like this
- On your Android phone, open the Settings app > Wireless & networks or connections > Mobile data or Cellular data.
- Now turn on mobile data. If it is already on, then turn it off and on again.
- Then check the data indicator (eg 3G, 4G, 5G) next to the signal strength bar at the top of the screen. Keep in mind here that sometimes it won’t show up if you have a Wi-Fi connection. If so, turn off Wi-Fi first, then check it out.

- After that move closer to the router and check whether you are getting a strong Wi-Fi connection or not.
Delete the cache and data of Play Store
Sometimes clearing the App Store cache and data can also fix download problems. Apparently, most people don’t clear the cache and data from the Play Store on a regular basis, but if you’re having problems downloading apps on your device, you should try deleting it as well. Follow the steps given below to clear the cache and data of the Play Store:
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Then go to See all apps after going to Apps and Notifications.
- Scroll down and tap on Google Play Store.
- Tap on Storage > Clear Cache.

Force stop the app

Remove Google account first, then login
If the download issue is still not resolved, you can fix it by first removing the Google Account from your device, then adding it again. This is how you can remove Google account:
- Open the Settings app on your Android phone or tablet.
- Then tap on Account.
- Then tap on the account you want to remove.
- If necessary, then enter your device’s pattern, PIN, or password to complete the Google Account removal process.
Follow these steps to add Google account:
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to Settings.
- Then tap on Accounts > Add account > Google.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your account.
- Then open the Google Play Store app and tap on Menu.
- Look at the top of the screen for your account name and email address.
