Price under 2.5 lakh, Harley-Davidson X440 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 which is better

Harley-Davidson X440 has been officially launched in the Indian market. It comes as the US company’s cheapest bike in the country. Although not in the same category, the X440 is comparable to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Because there are some similarities between the two motorcycles in terms of specifications. Harley-Davidson X440 vs Royal Enfield Meteor 350 : Engine

The HD X440 features a fully Indian engine. Its 440 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled powertrain will produce 27 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. 6-speed gearbox connected to the motor.

Meanwhile, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by a J series air-cooled 349 cc single cylinder engine. This single cylinder with 2-valve head has an oil circuit in each head. As a result, it will cool down quickly. Its output is 20 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The bike is available with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Harley-Davidson X440 rides on a KYB USD 43mm front fork and dual gas charged rear shock absorbers with 7-step preload adjustable. Braking duties are handled by 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual channel ABS.

Where the Meteor 350 falls short on telescopic front forks and 6-step adjustable twin tube emulsion shock absorbers. It has 300 mm front disc and 270 mm rear disc brakes with dual channel ABS.

The Harley-Davidson X440 features all-LED lights, Harley-Davidson branding on the headlights with LED DRLs. A 3.5-inch round TFT speedometer cluster is also provided. Where mileage, gear indicator, speedometer etc information will appear. HD Connect service, turn-by-turn navigation, call-message alert, music control, USB charging port are again offered. Its price starts from Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 features a tripper navigation system, analog speed meter and a tachometer with multi-information display, LED DRLs and LED taillamps. It is priced from Rs 2.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
