Paytm BAN, removed from the Google Play store to violate the gambling policy

Paytm BAN or you can say removed from Google Play Store because of violating the gambling policies. Google has also warned Disney+ Hotstar to display a warning before running ads about fantasy sports apps.

Why Paytm BAN from play store?

According to a tech crunch report, Play Store restricts online casinos and other unregulated gambling apps that promote sports betting in India. Paytm has violated Play Store’s policies by promoting fantasy sports services within its app. Additionally, Paytm First Games is also pulled from the Play Store because of violating the same guidelines.

The company has made an announcement on its official Twitter account “Paytm Android app is temporarily unavailable on Google’s Play Store for new downloads or updates. It will be back very soon”

“All your money is completely safe, and you can continue to enjoy your Paytm app as normal” They added in their statement.

As mentioned, the tech giant has also warned Disney+Hotstar to display a warning before promoting such Applications. Additionally, Google instructed several companies in India to pause all advertising campaigns which drive users to those websites that offer installation files of sports betting apps.

However, Paytm has not shared further details related to this issue but the company confirmed that It will be back very soon on the Play store.
