BSNL service outage in several cities of the country. Calcutta and Nagpur were the most affected. Customers are not getting signal and connectivity. Widespread service disruptions—including dropped calls, slow internet speeds and complete outages—have been reported from various parts of the country.
The Downdetector platform provides real-time information on service outages. Recently there have been many complaints from BSNL users. Both mobile and broadband services are said to be affected. Many customers are frustrated when they face such problems in the middle of work. They are not getting the necessary communication services.
According to Downdetector's data, 59 percent of users are experiencing signal issues. 35 percent of users experienced total blackouts. And the remaining 6 percent of users are facing mobile connectivity issues. Users also reported the problem on social media. Update sought from BSNL regarding service disruption.
However, BSNL is yet to issue an official statement regarding the widespread outage. The cause of the service disruption is still unknown. There was no estimated time when service would return to normal.
