Oppo Reno 8 series was announced in China including the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. The series arrives as the successor of the Reno 7 series which was revealed last year. The company also unveiled the Oppo Pad Air tablet along with the series.

Display
Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro flaunts a 6.43 inches AMOLED display with a punch-hole at the top left corner. The pro model comes with a 120Hz fast refresh rate while the vanilla model sports a 90Hz fast refresh rate. The Reno 8 Pro+ features a 6.7 inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout at the top center.
Performance
The vanilla model comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset coupled with Mali G77 MC9 GPU. The Reno 8 Pro is powered with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Soc and it is the first device to come with this processor. While the Pro Plus is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100-Max chip. All the models are accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. All of the devices come running on Android 12 with COlor OS 12.1 skin on top.
Camera
Oppo Reno 8 series is equipped with a triple rear camera. The vanilla model includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. While the Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+ boast an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens instead of a 2-megapixel depth sensor. All three handsets come with a 32-megapixel selfie snapper for selfies and video calls. The company also integrated the MariSilicon X chip for a next-level photography experience.
All of them are backed by a 4500mah battery and support 80W fast charging. For connectivity, the series includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, all the models come with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Reno 8 & Reno 8 Pro come in three color options namely Clear Sky Blue, Slightly Drunk, and Night Tour Black. The Reno 8 Pro+ is offered in three color options namely Xiaoyaoqing (mint), Roaming Grey, and Undercurrent paint jobs. Oppo Reno 8 series is available for pre-order and will go for sale starting from June 1 in China.
