OnePlus 9 series launch date confirmed

OnePlus 9 series launch event is scheduled to be held on March 23 at 10:00 AM ET. It is the successor of the OnePlus 8 series which was launched back in April last year. The Chinese tech company partnerships with the well-known Swedish camera maker Hasselblad for the camera optimization of its upcoming flagship series.

Today, OnePlus revealed the launch date of its next-generation flagship series. As per the press release, The Chinese tech company all set to launch the OnePlus 9 series on March 23 at 10:00 AM ET. Unfortunately, The company has not revealed any details about the OnePlus 9 series models, which are expected to be the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R, as per the previous leaks. However, The company has confirmed the camera specs of these handsets.


The OnePlus 9 series and the upcoming company’s high-end smartphones from the OEM will deliver with a new color solution jointly developed by OnePlus and Hasselblad called ‘Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad’. The Chinese firm’s flagship smartphones will also feature ‘Hasselblad Pro Mode’ with support for 12-bit RAW format and provide options to adjust  ISO, focus, exposure times, white balance, and more.

  • Freeform Lens for Minimal Distortion in Ultra-Wide Pictures
  • T-lens Technology for Faster Focus in the Front-facing Camera
  • Support for 12-bit RAW
  • Improved HDR Video Recording
  • Video Recording at 4K 120FPS and 8K 30FPS


Further, The company said that it will be investing $150 million over the next three years for four R&D labs around the lab, including two imaging labs located in the United States and Japan, and signed a three-year partnership with Hasselblad to co-develop camera systems for the upcoming OnePlus flagship devices.
