One click will disable your WhatsApp, be careful from this link

WhatsApp is constantly working to provide a better experience to billions of users around the world. As a result, as new features appear in the instant messaging platform, upgrades are coming to its security system, performance, etc. Since WhatsApp has two factor authentication, end-to-end encryption features, it is considered very secure for messaging. Moreover, with Biometric Lock (now Personal Chat Lock for each chat) option, you don’t have to worry about privacy while using this app. But, despite all this, sometimes questions arise about the security of WhatsApp. As recently a new bug was noticed in the platform, where the app was crashing due to just one link. If you click on the link by mistake! Your account will be temporarily disabled.

One click WhatsApp crashes due to weird bug

As mentioned earlier only one link and clicking on that link shows the problem of WhatsApp crashing. In this case, this bug was found in the Android version of the platform. It is undoubtedly a source of discomfort in a busy life. But this bug is relatively not that serious, as it cannot crash your account on its own unless you click on the link. If the problematic link wa.me/settings comes through your group or personal chat and you open it, the app will crash.

Incidentally, this bug is known to affect both personal chats and group chats of WhatsApp Business. And somehow the issue of the app crashing after clicking the link is normal or fixed until you reopen that message thread. According to the company, the bug first appeared in Android version 2.23.10.77 of the app. However, users of other versions are also likely to suffer from similar problems.

So, be careful if any such link is coming to your WhatsApp. And, if for any reason you are also facing such problem, delete that message from your account immediately. For this task you can use the web version of WhatsApp (WhatsApp Web). It does not affect the bug.
