Ola Electric is one of the top three companies in the electric two-wheeler business in India. They set a new record in terms of sales of electric scooters every month. Which is by far the most for them as well as any EV two-wheeler brand doing business in India.

The financial year 2023-24 ended with March. It is reported that Ola has handed over the keys to customers of a total of 3,28,785 new eco-friendly electric scooters in one year. In comparison, the company’s sales in 2022-23 were 1,52,741 units. As a result, the sales growth rate in the just ended financial year was 115%.

Again from January, 2024 to March, 2024 a total of 1,19,310 electric scooters were sold. The figure was 84,133 units during the same period a year ago. As a result demand increased by 42%. In this context, Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric Technologies said, “With sales crossing 53,000 in March, 2023-24 is not a better year for us. Last year was a critical one for the EV industry. We have led the market in terms of sales throughout the financial year.”

Incidentally, Ola currently sells three different models of electric scooters – S1 X, S1 Air and S1 Pro. Keeping in mind the needs of different categories of buyers, the company has brought the option of every trim in the e-scooter. The price of their battery powered scooter starts from Rs 79,999 on offer. And the cost to buy the most expensive S1 Pro is Rs 1.3 lakh. It has a 4 kWh battery.

Ola S1 Pro offers a maximum range of 185 km and a top speed of 120 km per hour on a full charge. Recently Ola is offering a warranty of 8 years or 80,000 kms (whichever is earlier) on their electric scooters. Experts believe that this is the reason why more and more buyers are attracted to buy their e-scooters.
