After scooters, Ola Electric has started its efforts to bring e-bikes to the market. One of the most popular EV two-wheeler companies in the country has started production of their Roadster electric bike. Ola said on social media that they have released the first batch of production. In August last year, the company launched three electric bikes, Roadster, Roadster X and Roadster Pro.
The above three models are priced at Tk 74,999, Tk 1,04,999 and Tk 1,99,999 (ex-showroom) respectively. Of these, the Roadster X model is claimed by Ola as the fastest electric motorcycle in its segment. It will be available in 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh battery packs.

On the other hand, the Roadster X has a 13 kW motor and multiple battery options. It will be marketed as a commuter electric bike. And the most expensive Pro variant has a 52 kW motor with a torque of 105 Nm. Again, its 16 kW variant can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 1.2 seconds and 0-60 km/h in 1.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 194 km per hour.
Ola Electric said they will offer an eight-year battery warranty on all their models and access to their existing charging network. However, it is not yet known when the electric bikes will be available in the market.
Incidentally, several startup companies have introduced electric bikes in the market right now. Which includes Ultraviolet, Revolt etc. After the scooter, this time Ola is trying to increase the enthusiasm of the customers by bringing bikes.
