WhatsApp is currently the most popular messaging platform in the country as well as the world. And since coming under Meta, WhatsApp has seen one change after another. Because many new features have been added to this app. For which this messaging app has become much richer than before. Now it has come to the fore that Meta wants to make international transactions easier for users through this app. For which the organization has started taking necessary steps.
In fact, according to a tipster named AssembleDebug on X, WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature, which will allow Indian users to make payments abroad through the app itself. And the Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI, which is already a part of this app, will help in this task.
This feature is called International Payments by the tipster. Because, using this feature, Indian bank account holders will be able to transfer money abroad. However, only banks in countries that support international UPI services will benefit from this feature.
Sharing a screenshot, the leakster said that WhatsApp users will be able to use this international payment feature manually. And users have to choose specific time to keep the feature active.
