By launching the next-gen 5G network, Reliance Jio has made a big impact on Indian lifestyle in over a year and a half. But this time they have set another new milestone in terms of technology and internet service offering. In fact, the company's 5G FWA (Fixed-Wireless Access) service launched last year as Jio AirFiber is now available in 6,956 cities and urban areas in India. However, Jio is not stopping here – the telecom company is working hard to bring this internet service to every city. They also made big announcements about device connectivity.
A Jio AirFiber connection can connect up to 120 devices
Jio has already confirmed that users of its AirFiber service can enjoy the benefits of connecting up to 120 devices simultaneously on a given Wi-Fi connection. The company has not given any specific plan information in this regard, but it is believed that this facility is going to be available with the 30 Mbps plan.
Meanwhile, the leading telecom operator of the country has said that the internet speed will depend on the number of devices a user will run with the help of his Wi-Fi connection, despite the facility to connect hundreds of devices. So if you want to take advantage of connecting 120 devices to the same Wi-Fi announced by Jio, the company's AirFiber plan with speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps can be a good option for you. All these plans will also come with OTT (OTT, over-the-top) benefits.
The fun of Jio AirFiber will also be available in villages
Incidentally, Jio AirFiber's network speed is not affected by the increasing load of its mobile network. Because telcos have built standalone 5G SA (Standalone Architecture) networks to provide FWA services to customers. In those areas where wired fiber connection is not available, this FWA or AirFiber connection is the best option to get high-speed internet. That means Jio AirFiber service can be enjoyed comfortably even in village or Mofswal.
To meet the entertainment needs of users, Jio AirFiber connection comes with a Jio Set-Top Box (STB), through which 15+ OTT platforms and live TV channels can be accessed.
