Nissan X-Trail returns to India after ten years to rival the Fortuner, launch on this date

Nissan Motor is going to bring surprise for SUV lovers in India. The company is going to launch the fourth generation X-Trail SUV next month. The premium car will currently be sold in India alongside the Magnite, the only model in the company's portfolio. It is reported that Nissan X-Trail SUV will be launched in the country on July 17. Note that it was introduced with the Juke and Qashqai two years ago. The car could rival the Toyota Fortuner and the MG Gloster.

Many may not know, this Nissan X-Trail SUV was once sold in the Indian market. It was first launched in this country in 2005. But the sale was stopped in 2014 due to lack of demand. The X-Trail SUV is going to be officially launched in 2022, two years after the new avatar was showcased. It can be available in 5 and 7-seater options.

Nissan X-Trail SUV : Powertrain

The upcoming Nissan X-Trail SUV is based on the company's Alliance CMF-C platform. It features the ePOWER drive system, which includes a high output battery and powertrain. The powerful hybrid motor will produce a maximum power of 201 bhp. Again the output of the all wheel drive variant is 211 bhp. A maximum power of 160 bhp will be available from the mild hybrid variant.

Nissan X-Trail SUV : Rivals

The Nissan X-Trail SUV will be imported and sold in India. So the price will be higher. In addition to the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster, rivals include the Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.
