TVS Motor Company today launched their next generation Jupiter 110 in India. It will replace the decade-old 110 cc Jupiter. The new avatar brings a new engine and many features along with the design changes of the scooter. You will be surprised to hear that this scooter is cheaper than the Honda Activa. The price has been kept at Rs 73,700. It will be available in four variants with six color options and drum-disc brakes.
Design
The new TVS Jupiter 110 is built on the same chassis as its older version Jupiter 125. But the style has completely changed. The design is much sharper than before. The looks have been upgraded keeping the younger generation in mind. Tubelight-like wide LED DRLs with turn indicators add a new dimension to the design. The frame of the tail section is also quite wide, which suits the overall design language.
Engine performance
The TVS Jupiter 110 scooter has been added with a completely new engine. However, it was rumored before the launch that the engine will remain unchanged. It is powered by a 113.5 cc single cylinder engine with the new iGo Assist feature, which produces a maximum power of 8 bhp at 5000 rpm and 9.2 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. Top speed is 82 km per hour.
Features
TVS Jupiter 110's underseat storage can accommodate two helmets. There is a USB charging port for mobile charging. The scooter features a new digital console, which supports Bluetooth connectivity. Besides, front fuel filler cap, voice command, emergency stop signal, hazard lamp, and follow me headlamp are available on the new Jupiter.
