KTM India is unmatched when it comes to providing the necessary updates to motorcycles in keeping with the times. This time, the company under Bajaj (Bajaj) announced the launch of the new version of their 200 Duke racing bike with new features. A change in the new version is the improved headlights. An upgrade is just that. The new LUD headlamp unit is taken from the 390 Duke.
2023 KTM 200 Duke: Price and Color Options
The 2023 KTM Duke 200 is priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom). The price has been increased by only Tk 3,155 from the currently sold Duke 200 in the country. The bike will be available in the market in two color options – Electronic Orange and Metallic Silver. The bike’s competitors in the country include – Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
2023 KTM 200 Duke: New Updates & Engines
The new headlamps on the KTM 200 Duke mean the new daytime running lamps are also now LED. The new headlight unit has 32 LED arrays with six reflectors for the beam. Its design is somewhat inspired by the headlamps of the 1290 Super Duke R.
Powering the KTM 200 Duke is the same 199.5 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine as before. It produces 24.68 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and 19.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Number of gears. The engine now appears compliant with OBD2 regulations. It is also capable of running on E20 (a mixture of 80% petrol and 20% ethanol).
2023 KTM 200 Duke: Hardware & Features
The bike is built on a split trellis tubular frame. Which is also present in 250 Duke and 390 Duke. 43mm USD front fork and 10-step adjustable rear monoshock are attached to the frame. Both suspensions are from WP Apex. Braking duties are handled by front and rear disc brakes of 300mm and 230mm respectively. It has dual channel ABS. There is also an LCD digital instrument cluster, where various information including tail light position will be displayed.
