Demand for SUVs in India is on the rise. Most buyers who are interested in buying a car are attracted to such models and bring it home. MG Motor India has announced a reduction in car prices at the beginning of March to increase the number of buyers in the showroom. The company’s popular Hector SUV will cost Rs 96,000 less. Prices now start from Tk 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas earlier the cost was Tk 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Hector SUV Price Dropped
Along with the price cut, MG has revamped the Hector variant lineup with the launch of two new models. These are – Shine Pro and Select Pro. The two variants are priced at Tk 15.99 lakh and Tk 17.29 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). The Shine Pro model fills the gap between the Style and Select Pro. Again the Select Pro trim sits between the Shine Pro and Smart Pro. As a result, the Savvy Pro has now debuted as the most expensive model. It will now cost Rs 22.67 lakh (ex-showroom).
Both the new variants of the MG Hector get the largest portrait touchscreen infotainment system in the respective segment. This 14-inch display will provide various features. Both variants feature an all black theme, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a brushed metal finish. It also gets segment-first features like Digital Bluetooth Key and Key Sharing Capability. There is also an engine start/stop button.
Safety features include electric parking brake, cruise control, four-wheel disc brakes, hill hold control, ABS with EBD, brake assist, front fog lamps, speed sensing auto door lock, child seat anchors, high speed warning alert, follow me home. Headlamp, cornering front fog lamp etc.
MG Hector Shine Pro and Select Pro variants can be chosen with both a 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 2.0 liter diesel engines. The turbo petrol engine model is available with manual or CVT transmission. Note that the Shine Pro model can only be optioned in a five-seater configuration. While the Select Pro variant is available in 5 and 7-seater options.
