World Environment Day (June 5) is just around the corner. On the occasion, Ahmedabad-based electric two-wheeler startup Matter has taken exemplary steps to spread awareness about the environment throughout the week. The company announced a benefit of up to Rs 50,000 on its Aera model, the country’s first geared electric bike. The benefits include a price benefit of Rs 30,000 and a complimentary Matter Care package of Rs 20,000. The offer is valid till June 5, Mater said.
50,000 benefit on Matter Aera e-bike
The price of Matter Aera 5000 and 5000 Plus is going to increase by Rs 30,000 as soon as this offer ends. Because from June 1 subsidy in FEM-II project is being reduced from 40% to 15%. Therefore, from June 6, the price of Aera 5000 and 5000 Plus is increasing by Tk 1,73,999 and Tk 1,83,999 respectively. So the buyers who book the bike till June 5, will be given the opportunity to buy it at the old price.
During the offer, interested buyers can book the two variants of Aera at Rs 999 respectively. Booking is being done from any part of the country on the official website of the company. It can also be purchased from e-commerce platforms Flipkart and OtoCapital. Mater has announced that deliveries will start from September this year.
Matter Aera is India’s first electric bike with four-speed hyper-shift gear. The company claims that it costs only 25 paise per kilometer to travel. 0-60 km/h takes 6 seconds. It has a liquid cooled battery and powertrain. which will remain functional even at high temperatures. The Aera electric bike will provide a range of 125 km on a full charge. It has a 5-amp onboard charging system. Again it will get the benefit of internet enabled connected feature and a 7-inch touchscreen.
