Brezza is Maruti Suzuki’s first SUV in India. The balance of mileage and features has been maintained quite nicely. The launch of the new version of the Brezza last year saw a significant increase in the sales of the car. But the recent move by the Indo-Japanese company may affect the sales of Brezza, experts believe. What happened suddenly?
Maruti Suzuki Brezza’s mileage is decreasing
The mileage of the manual transmission version of the Brezza continues to drop. It is one of the company’s first models to come with a smart hybrid system. But Maruti has quietly done away with the Smart Hybrid system from the manual variant of the car. As a result, the mileage of the model will decrease a lot. So there are questions about the decline in its sales.
Currently the automatic variant of the Brezza can only be optioned with a mild hybrid setup. Omitting this system from the manual variant will reduce the mileage from 20.15 kmpl to 17.38 kmpl, the report claims. Again, Maruti has announced the removal of ESP and Hill Hold Assist from its Brezza CNG. However, seat belt reminders have been added for all passengers.
How is the Maruti Suzuki Brezza as a car?
Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the most autonomous models in the respective segment. It features a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 102 bhp of power and 135 Nm of torque. As for the transmission, both manual and automatic options are available.
Special features of Brezza include sunroof, 9.0 inch infotainment system, 6 airbags, ESP, ARAKMY sound system, 360 degree camera etc. The current market price is Rs 9.66 lakh to Rs 16.62 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the car variant.
