The new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has been codenamed YED. It has several design differences with existing models. As it has a new front profile. It features updated radiator grille, newly designed LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs.
The top variant of the Swift features LED fog lamps. Again there is a difference in the design of the bumper. There are also redesigned alloy wheels and door handles in new locations for the rear passengers. At the back there are re-design LED tail lights and new bumper. This Swift will appear with new color options.

The interior of the new generation Maruti Swift features a new dashboard, which features a free standing touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. Seats and upholstery will also be updated.

In terms of safety, Maruti Suzuki Swift offers 6 airbags, ABS electronic stability program with EBD, three point seat belt for second row passengers, reverse parking camera. The Indian version of the Swift may not feature the 360-degree camera and ADAS technology of the global model.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift : Powertrain
The new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by the Z-series 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. However, its power and torque output is expected to be at par with the K12 four-cylinder petrol engine. The current model outputs 89 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. It is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The most surprising thing is that this year’s engine may be of mild hybrid technology.
